Since I was done volunteering and stayed up pretty late dancing it out to Franki Chan and Curt (from Flosstradamus), M and I slept in until about noon. M went to Costco and I decided to take it easy and watch movies for most of the afternoon. I biked to ACC for Died Young, Stayed Pretty. It was a film about the punk movement and posters. Then I managed to get to the Ritz for The Time of Their Lives. No it was not a documentary about Dirty Dancing. It was a documentary about a nursing home in England for aging intellectuals. The featured cast were women ranging from late 80s to over 100.
After the movie I biked to the Fader Fort to pick up my wristband (I won’t lie, I did go scavenging for free stuff, unfortunately there weren’t any items to be found other than booze and water.) After wandering through the giant maze I went home for dinner. I also planned out the rest of my evening. I ended up missing most of the music I had scheduled because Yes Men Fix the World started almost 40 minutes late and it was too good to leave half way in. The Grouch and Eligh would be around for a bit. If the show was that good, M would text me. I will write more about the movie later but in the meantime you can watch the trailer.
After the movie I biked to Emo’s to see if Echo and the Bunnymen were worth all the hype. They were ok. Not worth trying to get pass for the elusive Spin party.
I biked home and found out that M had fallen asleep again. She didn’t make it out of the house.
