Coming soon – Speed Dating

by @ Saturday, November 29th, 2008. Filed under 17dates, dating, note to readers

So Keely went Speed Dating without me.  She was nice enough to send me a 50% off coupon for the service though (and hopefully she is writing up the details of her adventure). The discount made it affordable so I am signed up for Speed Dating in December (and yes it counts towards the challenge ).

That’s right my little readers.  You will get 2 tales of speed dating.

Oh, you’re that guy

by @ Sunday, November 16th, 2008. Filed under note to readers

Dear Readers,

Should you run into one of the dudes that we write about on the blog, feel free to let them know that you know everything (well almost everything).  You don’t need to go into the details about what they did.  Just say, “Oh, you’re that guy. I know all about that.”  Then walk away (you don’t really have to walk away unless you want to).

Someone did that for me recently and it felt so good.  Good enough that I may have done a little dance (ok, I did do the little dance).

If you tell me a dude-done-you-wrong story (and I like you), just know that I’ve got your back.

Stay classy and don’t be that guy.

Changes

by @ Sunday, November 2nd, 2008. Filed under geek stuff, note to readers

As your webmaster, I feel that I have let you down. This site should get with the times and move into Web 2.0. You should know what music we are listening to, what we are reading on the internet, and maybe even things that we are twittering. My other sites have gone through many redesigns while this one sits stagnant. So, my promise to you readers is to overhaul the site before the next SXSW.

Stay tuned.

Inside my head…

by @ Thursday, August 28th, 2008. Filed under note to readers, random musings

This popped up in one of the blogs I read…

A piece of literature stands as an artifact of an individual’s experience; to read, appreciate, and ingest a piece of literature is to immerse yourself in the mind of another person. There is no closer intimacy than that achieved through immersion in the writings of another; the fear of someone reading your diary attests to this. Physical intimacy is a superficial closeness; behind the flesh and intensity of engagement, one can still hide one’s true self. In fact, many people engage in intense physical intimacy specifically to obscure their true selves. To know someone, you must interact with their mind; a piece of literature is the mind laid bare.

I often wonder about my little readers out there. How well do you think you know me? What I write may or may not be true but it had to come from something I experienced. Didn’t it?

Censored

by @ Wednesday, October 4th, 2006. Filed under boys, confessional, note to readers

I must confess, this blog is not exactly real time. I, like many broadcasting companies, have chosen to delay posting to avoid uncomfortable situations (like when people figure out where things fit in in space and time). The only person that gets my confessions real-time is Megan.

If only there were a better way of keeping people anonymous but at the same time make it clear enough so someone knows it is not them. The boy in this post, was not the same boy in this post, the boy in my dream that drove me to orgasm (a real boy) has a tongue bar.

Anyways, because of the delay thing, I have forgotten to post a few interesting tidbits about what is going on my life.

So here it is, the best phone confessional session with Megan I have had in the last month or so.
Jen: Bless me Megan for I have sinned.
Meg: Do tell.
Jen: I just had the best orgasm ever. Well not EVER, but it was up there.
Meg: and…
Jen: So I was out with some people and I was really horny… (yes, it was bad decision making week). If it were a party I could have probably slipped into the bathroom and taken care of things, but it wasn’t, so I NEEDED to get out of there.
Meg: Did you get all the way home or were you in the car?
Jen: I went home. It was much easier to say that I had to go. I couldn’t see going out to the car and coming back. Besides, at home there is no one to hear me screaming.
Meg: Good point
Jen: So I get home and put on some NIN and grab a toy. There was a minor energy crisis but I was able to get it solved and take care of business with an old standby.
Meg: A happy uterus is a healthy uterus.

Another tidbit from phone confessionals was Megan’s advice to me in my spinsterhood.
“I think it’s time for this stalemate to be over. It’s time for things to stop being stale. Get on with the mating.”

I agree, but at the same time I know where my toys have been. I don’t know exactly where all boys have been. Would they be offended if I were to ask for a doctor’s note?

Dear Readers,

Perhaps you were distracted by my legs but, if you read the print underneath…

“A group of women who decided that it was important to live their lives any way they wanted vs living up to certain cookie cutter standards. Lucky for you they decided to share their adventure.”

You would notice that this site is maintained by not one but several women.

Thank you for reading.
