PC to TV converter

by @ Wednesday, May 6th, 2009. Filed under stuff dudes tell us about

How awesome is that?  I needed to find a way to watch my episodes of the Daily Show and work out (something safer than lashing the little netbook to the elliptical machine).  Buying a projector sounded a little impractical.  As did buying a giant monitor.  I found a $40 solution at Frys.  PC to TV converter.  I can attach the VGA adaptor to my computer and then run the cables from the magic box to the s-video on my receiver.

Last night I watched 5 episodes of the Daily Show and 2 movies on hulu.com.  I will keep you posted on how well it works.  So far, I am not too keen that it is using usb for its power supply.

Heh. More things to amuse ourselves with.

Ya, I know, I haven’t been around lately. I don’t know what to tell you. I’ve been busy. I’ve been too busy in the real world enjoying my real life to be on here posting my random thoughts. Sucks a little, I know. But anyhow, here’s something that 10HDG sent me today: Look at this fucking hipster, I think it’s funny.

On that note, we’re going to beauty bar tonight too. I know I am a fucking hipster, well ‘cept for the whole coke thing. But anyhow, we’re going to see VEGA. That’s the band that opened for Crystal Castles a few weeks ago.

Then the day after we went to that show, there was apparently a huge f-up in Dallas. We didn’t even really like the show here all that much. However, we were late getting to the show, and missed them. And after hearing all about how they’re supposed to be super nice dudes and sound good, we thought we’d hafta check them out.

So tonight I’ll be dodging hipsters at the sidebar for most of the evening, then trying to catch VEGA across the street. I’ll let you know how they are.

Because I am a big dork, who’s had computer’s in her life since age 5,… and recalls a picture of her dad standing in front of a mainframe with a giant afro.  I had to post this :)
